The vortex flow principle
The SV Series vortex flow meter is designed using the Vortex Flow Principle in which vortices are formed from the placement of a bluff body in the flow of water, creating a vortex frequency proportional to the water flow rate. This provides a wide measurement range. Because the SV Series flow meter has no moving parts to wear or break, it is the most durable and lowest cost sensor technology available.
Customizable color digital display
An important feature is the thin-film-transistor liquid-crystal display (TFT LCD). The user has the ability to customize the display to differentiate water flow and temperature. The simple pushbutton menu allows for easy programming of each application using up-and-down toggling. By using the color differentiation feature of the display, users can monitor flow rate and temperature of a process zone.
The customizable color digital display electronically rotates in 90 degree increments for easy at-a-glance flow status monitoring from a distance. The sensor’s NPT process connection is easy to mount in line, accepting 1/2 inch or 3/4 inch piping. The flow meter provides analog, switching and pulsed outputs.
